Parksville Newborn Photographer | How to Decide: To Share or Not?
As primarily a newborn photographer I get it- sharing photos of your little one online is a big decision. Some parents can’t wait to announce their newborn and post those first adorable images, while others prefer to keep them private. And honestly? Both are choices are completely fine with me!

Why Some Parents Choose Not to Share
In today’s digital world, some parents have privacy concerns. Sometimes parents want to keep their new baby’s face off social media until they’re old enough to decide for themselves. I’ve had parents wait until baby is older and they don’t resemble their baby pictures before sharing online. Others prefer to share their images with close family and friends only. There are many valid reasons why parent may choose to keep their kids offline.

Why I Love When Parents Choose to Share
As a newborn photographer, I pour my heat and soul into creating a memorable experience, a beautiful collection of props and backdrops, and meaningful shots in your gallery of once-in-a-lifetime moments. When parents choose to share, it allows me to showcase my work, connect with other expecting families and continue growing my business. Seeing your newborn’s photos out in the world, bringing joy to your family and friends, is such a rewarding part of my job.
The Best of Both Worlds

If you’re certain you do not want your images online I can respect that and support it, too! If you’re unsure there’s always a middle ground. Many parents allow me to share images that don’t identify their baby’s face- like sweet little fingers, tiny perfect toes, or a close up of baby’s beautiful, pouty lips. This way, you can maintain privacy while still celebrating the artistry of your newborn session.

At the end of the day, it’s your choice and I respect that 100%. Whether you choose to share or not, my goal remains the same- to give you timeless images that you can treasure for a lifetime of your amazing, growing family.
